EU's Trade Balance turns to surplus

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The statistical office of the European Union, Eurostat, released today the results of September's Trade Balance. On the seasonally adjusted front, the surplus climbed to €2.4Bn and on the non seasonally adjusted grid to €2.9Bn.

Upon revision, August's reading of the s.a. statistic was modified to a deficit of €1.7Bn, markets expected a recovery to a surplus of €1.3Bn. The n.s.a. deficit was also revised down to €5.0Bn, forecasts fell short anticipating a surplus of only €0.1Bn.
